If you are a seasoned Scrabble player (or new), you probably know, the letters Q and Z have the highest point value in Scrabble. The most common on the other end are the letters are E, I, and O. This should not come as a suprisse, since they’re used in the majority of all Scrabble words. But knowing this, how can this information actually help you as a Scrabble player. More important, how can you use it to your advantage in your next game?
First of all, it's very helpful to keep track of how many letters have already been played. By doing this, you can accurately estimate which tiles you or your opponent might receive after a word have being placed (the chance will be higher or lower). With this in mind, you can decide during your game whether or not to play a long word, or hold off, so that on your next turn you have a better chance of forming a 7 letter word (Scrabble bingo). For this reason you should always use our Scrabble Cheat to make words from your letters. Enter all 7 tiles and see every possible word hidden in your rack.
A second reason to keep track of how many letters are in Scrabble is to monitor the game's progress. This can help you make smart decisions later on, especially when guessing your opponent’s tiles. Think you know which letters they have and you’re holding the same ones? Play them quickly, so your opponent doesn’t get the chance. This creates the possibility that they're left with the letters, and therefore can't earn any points.
